Cortland’s Cold Salt Series Striped Bass Intermediate fly line was designed to be fished on the flats, in the surf or from a boat. The full intermediate jacket material has a thinner overall profile that cuts through wind and waves.

Targeting Striped Bass on the fly requires capitalizing on quick opportunities and feeding windows.
We designed our Cold Salt Striped Bass Intermediate line with a medium length head featuring a 22 ft. body that is powerful and easy loading. A 6 ft. front taper easily turns over a variety of fly patterns without compromising subtle presentations. The 4 ft. back taper helps load the line quickly with minimal false casting making casts efficient as possible.
Built on a braided nylon core, this line features our signature Cold Salt jacket material for staying supple and memory free in the coldest of conditions. Finished in Ice Blue, this line is stealthy yet traceable.
